In celebration of Women’s History month KvinnSam and GU-Fem are organizing a seminar on the history of the feminist movement in Sweden! Join us to learn how Sweden has become one of the most gender-equal countries in the world and what challenges the Swedish feminist movement still faces today.

KvinnSam – National Resource Library for Gender Studies, will take you on a journey through the history of the feminist movement in Sweden. We will take help from our web resources (women’s history portals) and also show some exciting material from our archive that relates to the different parts and times of the movement. Starting with the suffrage movement in late 19th century, to the years between the wars, second wave feminism and onto today and #MeToo.

The event will take place on March 11 at Forumet in the Humanities library. The event is free of charge and open for everyone.
