Nu slår vi upp portarna till jämlikhetsmingel…
Time: November 5th, 17:00 - 19:30.
Location: Aulan, Vasaparken, Universitetsplatsen 1, Gothenburg.
Attendees: Anyone active with an interest in global health and sustainable development.
Organisers: SIGHT and Act Sustainable
The number of refugees - defined as individuals fleeing from violence, war or a fear of persecution as a result of their race, religion, political opinion, nationality or membership of a particular group - is currently estimated at around 25.9 million individuals.
According to UNICEF, there are more than 10 million children under 18 among the estimated total number of refugees.
In the midst of a global refugee crisis and international calls to protect the rights of refugees and halt the disparities, this event will involve an interactive discussion about these important issues and ways in which we can address them. The panel discussion will also provide an appropriate frame for the prize ceremony of the SIGHT Award 2019, which will be awarded during the event. This is the third year SIGHT is presenting this annual prize in global health research, with the purpose of honoring outstanding contributions to global health research.
This event is open to anyone with an interest in global health and sustainable development. Students will be prioritised should the seats fill up.
